UK Random Address Generator
Generate realistic random UK addresses with genuine postcode districts, post towns and counties across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Every address is fictional and formatted to Royal Mail conventions, ready for QA automation, form validation and database seeding.
What the generator produces
- Real postal geography: 57 Royal Mail post towns, 516 postcode districts across 60 postcode areas, with the matching county, country, ONS region, coordinates and dialling code.
- Valid postcodes: a real outward code combined with a structurally valid generated inward code, so results pass UK postcode validation without being live delivery points.
- Safe telephone numbers: drawn only from the ranges Ofcom reserves for drama, so no generated number can reach a real subscriber.
- Bulk export: JSON, CSV, TSV, SQL, XML and Royal Mail envelope text, up to 1,000 records per request.
- Free REST API:
GET /api/v1/addresses/random with no API key or sign-up.
Royal Mail address layout
Addresses follow the Royal Mail "Clear Addressing" convention: sub-building, building name, building number and thoroughfare, dependent locality, post town in capitals, optional county, then the postcode on its own line.
