By using UK Random Address Generator (ukaddressgenerator.org) or its API you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use the service.
UK Random Address Generator generates fictional United Kingdom postal addresses and related test data, over a web interface and a REST API. Postcode districts, post towns and counties are real so that the output behaves correctly in address forms and validators. Everything else is invented.
The output is for testing, development, demonstration, documentation and teaching. It is not a postal address database, not a delivery service and not a source of information about real people or premises.
The API is usable without an account on the free tier. A paid plan raises the limits; it is not a gate on access. The limits are:
Free and unauthenticated callers are currently served more generously than the published free tier: up to 1,000 per request with no daily cap and every export format. The published free limits listed above apply from 25 November 2026.
Requests that the published limits would reject are served until then and carry Sunset and deprecation response headers naming the date, so an integration gets warning in the response itself rather than a sudden error.
A per-minute burst ceiling applies on every plan, as listed above, as abuse control rather than accounting. Exceeding it returns HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header.
We may suspend or terminate access that attempts to circumvent the limits, that degrades the service for others, or that is used to send unsolicited mail, commit fraud or impersonate a real person or address. Where a suspension is not urgent we will tell you first.
A key authenticates anyone who holds it. Keep it out of client-side code, out of public repositories and out of URLs — keys passed in a query string are refused outright for that reason.
You are responsible for use made of your key. If one is exposed, revoke it from your account page; revocation takes effect immediately and you can create a replacement.
Paid plans are sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd as merchant of record, in US dollars, and renew monthly until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, with access until then.
Refunds are covered by the refund policy, which forms part of these terms: a full refund within 14 days of a payment, and consideration beyond that where the service did not work as described.
Prices may change. An existing subscription keeps its price for the period already paid for, and we will give notice by email before a change takes effect for it.
The service is provided as it is, without any uptime commitment or service level agreement. We do not offer one because we are not currently in a position to honour one, and a promise we could not keep would be worse than none.
We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the service. Where a change would break a documented API response we will give notice through the deprecation headers and the documentation.
The service is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. You are responsible for checking that the data suits your use.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you have paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that a consumer may bring proceedings in their own place of residence where the law gives them that right.
