An independent, free tool that generates realistic but entirely fictional United Kingdom postal addresses, so that teams can test address handling without copying real customer records into non-production environments.
The registry holds 57 Royal Mail post towns, 516 genuine postcode districts across 60 postcode areas, with the counties, council areas, ONS regions, coordinates and dialling codes that belong to them. Recipient names, organisation names, building numbers and names, and the inward half of every postcode are generated.
Numbers come only from the blocks Ofcom reserves for drama and fiction, such as 020 7946 0xxx, 0161 496 0xxx and 07700 900xxx, so a generated number can never reach a member of the public.
